How to get to Kalamata, Greece

There are direct flights to Kalamata airport (KLX) from many European cities (Munich, Vienna, Geneva, Brussels, Thessaloniki, Athens, …)  

Alternatively, one can fly to Athens, Greece (ATH-Eleftherios Venizelos airport) and from there take a bus to the SPAWC venue. There will be a special bus available for SPAWC attendees. The bus ride is approximately 3 hours and the cost is 30 euros. Reservations are required for the SPAWC bus.

One can also take a taxi from Athens airport to Kalamata. Reservations can be made at Pricing information is provided at the same link.

One can also rent a car and drive to Kalamata. The road is a newly constructed highway, and it takes approximately 2.5 hours to reach Kalamata. The cost of the tolls is ~12 euros each way.
